The Excitement of The Battle
When I think back on all my worst of the worst health struggles I can pinpoint the exact times, they were really rough. Honestly I actually find myself tearing up while my mind begins to run away with grief of those memories. Oh, not for myself but for those loved ones holding me up especially my wife Renee and my two sons, Dustin & Cody. My hurt was tolerable, theirs was engulfing.
I cannot speak for others that are battling in the fight to stay alive but I can offer my prayers, hope and encourage you to stand in there. Do what you have done for so long, fight the good fight! Search for the good & what joy can still be found, it is there.
This is where we never thought we would be, not any one of us! sickness was never our plan. The days are long, often miserable and very, very draining. Even the best of times are overshadowed by struggling to survive but hope is always there!
Some of my worst days came during my 2nd battle with cancer. Life became so close to death I felt like I was caught between living and dying and I struggled to see a difference between the two. Everything was wrong with my body yet Renee and I along with countless other kept praying and pushing forward regardless. That’s where the turnaround came, we could do nothing but do our best and trust God would spare me.
I realize not everybody believes in God. I know Renee and I have total trust in God and have seen Him move in our lives beyond our wildest imagination. I cannot imagine going through any of these health problems without God. Not only is God there in sickness, He is there in our healthiest happy days too. Our days are because of Him. Our hope is in Him.
My prayers for those in the fight are constant, please know Gods love for you is never ending. If you have given your life to Jesus you know the peace and trust. If you’re not sure please ask God, ask Him to reveal Himself to you. Find a church that preaches Gods word from the Holy bible. Read His Word and find true peace and love.
If you’re confused, scared or have questions please feel free to ask me in the contact page. I would be grateful to help. Steve
